The Harris Hill Ski Jump in Brattleboro Vermont is holding their annual ski jumping competition almost exactly a month from now.
As part of the two day event, ski jumpers from around the nation will compete on New England’s only Olympic-size 90 meter hill, offering concessions and a warm beer tent for spectators. On Saturday, February 20th, the Pepsi Challenge US Cup will take place, beginning at 10 AM for trial rounds with the competition itself kicking off around 12:45 in the afternoon, followed by awards.
The next day, on Sunday, the Fred Harris Memorial Tournament will be held, following the same schedule as the day before.
The jump was built back in 1922 and a competition has been held nearly every year since then, save for a few years when there was no snow.
The jump was vandalized in November but has been repaired leading up to next month’s event.
