A developing story right here in Claremont as police arrested two men Wednesday in connection with a pair of recent stabbings.
The first incident occurred early Sunday morning when a man called 911 reporting that he had been jumped on Trinity Street. When officers responded, they found a man with slashes on his mouth, but the victim refused to cooperate.
Two days later, an unidentified individual was admitted to Valley Regional Hospital with stab wounds, and eventually flown to nearby Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center due to the severity of the injuries.
Claremont police obtained a search warrant for a Trinity Street property based on the two incidents, and arrested 34-year-old Rahman Brown, of White Plains, New York, and 41-year-old Willie Taylor, of Claremont, as a result of their search.
Brown was charged with one count of first-degree assault, with Taylor being charged with two counts of selling crack cocaine in a school zone.
Police say additional charges are pending.
