It was supposed to be a close contest Monday night in Windsor with the top-ranked team in Division III hosting the second best team in Division II, but things didn’t exactly play out that way once action began.
That’s because the 11-1 Yellow Jackets virtually couldn’t miss during the early going of its showdown with non-divisional Mount St. Joseph, shooting its way to a 26-8 lead after the first quarter with help from an impressive four 3-pointers.
And coach Harry Ladue’s squad didn’t let up from their, either, hammering the 9-2 Mounties with made shot after made shot on its way to a statement 81-49 victory.
Senior Michael Bradley led the way offensively with a game-high 22 points, followed by Josh Moree with 16, including four 3-pointers. Dakota Page added 12 points for the home team, followed by Nick Kapuscinski with 10.
The win marked Windsor’s ninth straight, and the team will travel to face Newport Wednesday night.
