Weathersfield Hires New Town Manager
In Weathersfield Vermont, the town is welcoming a new town manager, which was announced at Monday night’s Selectboard meeting.
41-year old Ed Morris of Idaho, will be moving to town in February and assuming his duties come March.
Morris was picked out of a total of 46 applicants and was selected recently out of a the top three finalists to replace outgoing town manager Jim Mullen. Morris is married with a son and a daughter, who are both in their teens.
Having lived in Idaho for nearly 20 years, he acted as a firefighter for 16 of those years and is currently enrolled in online coursework for the University of Missouri, where he is pursuing a master’s degree in public affairs.
Weathersfield Vermont is a historic town, having been chartered in 1761 and the annual town meeting is held the first Monday of March.
This year, the date falls on March 7th, where residents will have a chance to be introduced to Ed Morris.
