Brattleboro Pair Arrested for Stolen Goods
Police in Brattleboro Vermont have arrested two people for possession of stolen property after an investigation.
According to police, 32-year old Lisa Akey and 40-year Timothy Wainwright, both of Brattleboro, were arrested late last week on the felony level charge.
Earlier this month, police were conducting a routine traffic patrol when they found an unoccupied blue Volvo that had a large amount of unopened merchandise in and around it.
It was deduced that the merchandise was stolen from a local business and police executed a search warrant on the vehicle after seizing it.
They found what’s being called a significant amount of allegedly stolen goods. An investigation led authorities to search an apartment on Canal Street, which indeed contained more stolen goods.
Akey and Wainwright were arrested in connection with the stolen property and will appear in Windham County Superior Court at a later date.
