In Westminster, Vermont, State Police arrested a 22-year-old New York man early Tuesday morning found traveling at more than 100 mph on a local highway.
According to the police report, troopers observed the vehicle shortly after 2:30 Tuesday morning traveling in the northbound lane of Interstate 91 near mile marker 26.
The vehicle was clocked at 103 mph by Trooper Ryan Wood, leading to the immediate arrest of the driver identified as Dillon Balemian of Rockville Centre, New York.
Conditions on the highway were dry at the time of the traffic stop though temperatures were below zero degrees. Balemian was transported to the Rockingham State Police Barracks without incident where he was processed and released on charges of driving at excessive speeds.
Balemian is scheduled to be arraigned in Windham County Superior Court on Feb. 16.
