A Dummerston Vermont man who pleaded guilty to possessing and distributing child pornography will spend the next nine years in federal prison.
According to police, Robert Page was arrested back in April of 2014 after a lengthy investigation into the exchange of sexually-explicit images depicting children online.
Page admitted to investigators at the time to using a Yahoo e-mail address to trade the pornographic images, and later pleaded guilty to the charges in federal court.
As part of his sentence, Page was ordered to serve 108 co-current months in federal prison, and won’t be eligible to be released until he successfully completes intensive sex offender treatment.
Page will also be subject to 20 years of supervision upon his release, and he was ordered to pay $5,000 dollars in restitution to two victims.
Page had previously been sentenced to five to 15 years in state prison, though that sentence will coincide with his time in federal prison.
