It was a scary scene right here in Claremont early Monday morning as small car crashed into a Maple Avenue home leaving at least two people injured.
Both local and state authorities responded to the scene shortly after 3 a.m. this morning to find a compact car crashed into the front of a home located at 79 Maple Avenue. The vehicle narrowly missed crashing through the home’s front door, and did not appear to have penetrated the home’s exterior wall.
According to New Hampshire State Police, nobody inside the home was injured, though the driver of the vehicle and a passenger were taken to a nearby hospital. There was no word on the extent of their injuries as of broadcast time.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, though excessive speed is believed to be a factor. YCN News caught up with a neighbor at the scene and asked him to recount what he experienced.
