News of yet another bank robbery in the region as Vermont State Police continue their search for a man accused of holding up the Heritage Family Credit Union in Ludlow late Monday afternoon.
According to police, surveillance video from the scene helped officers identify the suspect as 31-year-old Matthew Martin – who currently has several active warrants out for his arrest as a result of armed robberies in both Vermont and New Hampshire.
Police say Martin displayed a black hand gun to a teller shortly before 4 o’clock Monday afternoon, and left the Main Street credit union on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. It was unknown if he was then picked up, or fled in a vehicle parked nearby.
Authorities are currently unsure of Martin’s whereabouts, and are asking anyone with information as to his location to contact the Vermont State Police Rockingham Barracks at (802) 875-2112.
