Stevens Bowling Team Hones in Skills After Season Opener Win
As promised, Mike Pezone stopped by Maple Lanes Wednesday here in Claremont to check in on the Stevens bowling team after their big season-opening win this past weekend.
It was the first time in school history the Cardinals have won the memorial kickoff tournament, and the team accomplished the feat after falling behind two game to none in the championship match.
Now, the victory has put a big target on Stevens as a legitimate title contender, while also giving the young team some key confidence as it heads deeper into its schedule. Mike Pezone asked freshman bowler Ian Fitzpatrick his reaction to the victory, and what he and his teammates need to work on going forward.
Mike also spoke with Stevens coach Shawn Wadsworth to ask him about his goals for this year’s team.
Mike went on to ask what fans should expect from the team in the coming weeks prior to February’s state championship.
The Cardinals will be back in action this weekend in a 5-team meet down in Raymond.
