Claremont’s rotary club officially announced this week it will be hosting first night celebrations throughout the community on New Year’s Eve.
The Sugar River Rotary Club is putting the event on with help from several local businesses, which will help pay for a variety of activities offered to the public at no cost.
Festivities will begin at 6 p.m., with tubing, skiing and riding at Arrowhead Mountain, with open swim, gym and laser tag being offered just across the street at the Claremont Savings Bank Community Center.
Free bowling will also be offered at Maple Lanes from 9:30 until midnight, and local magician Dylan Tenney will perform a pair of shows at the community center at 6:15 and 8:45 p.m.
Stay tuned in the coming days for more information on the city’s first night celebrations, including interviews with both sponsors and participating businesses.
