A certain section of Washington Street here in Claremont has caused yet another vehicle accident, with one happening Tuesday morning.
Claremont Police Chief Alex Scott says that a call came in around 10:40 this morning about a car crash outside of the Imperial Restaurant plaza involving two vehicles.
A gray Dodge minivan was attempting to turn left out of the Imperial plaza, and was being waved on by a car traveling westbound on the lane closest to the side of the road. The minivan was turning when it was hit almost head-on by a silver Volkswagen Jetta that was in the outer lane and was not aware the turning car was being waved on.
There were no injuries to report and Chief Scott called this a “common accident” on this particular stretch of roadway. Claremont Police and Fire Departments as well as Golden Cross ambulance responded to the scene and officers had the scene cleared and traffic moving as of 11:22 AM.
The investigation into the crash has been concluded.
