It was a scary scene in Westminster Monday morning as a single-car crash on Interstate 91 left a reflector post impaled through the driver’s windshield just inches from his head.
According to Vermont State Police, officers arrived on the scene near mile marker 27 in the southbound lane shortly before 11 a.m. to find a 2012 Subaru Impreza off the edge of the road. When officers approached the vehicle, they noticed the reflector post sticking through the windshield.
34-year-old Christopher Dwyer sustained minor injuries to his hand, and was treated by local paramedics at the scene. Dwyer told officers he was traveling south in the left lane when another vehicle suddenly moved in his lane, forcing him off the roadway.
The vehicle – described as a silver pickup truck – did not stop. State Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident to contact them at (802) 241-5000.
