Public Forum Set for 1941 Building’s Future
An update on a story we first brought you last week. As we told you then, New London’s historic 1941 Building was being discussed by the New London Select Board in regards to its future.
We heard from Emilio Cancio-Bello who is the Vice Chair of the School Board, who explained that there are many uses for the building and is currently seeking public input on the future of the building. Well a date has been set for a public hearing, that being November 12th at 6:30 PM in the Kearsarge Learning Center in New London.
The public forum will hope to garner input from residents of not just New London, but surrounding communities before the Select Board makes a final decision.
So far, the only concrete plans are those to reroof the cafeteria and two classrooms while the board continues to welcome suggestions as to what to do with the rest of the building.
