In more Campaign 2016 news, Democratic presidential candidate Lawrence Lessig has withdrawn from the race for the nation’s top office.
The Harvard law professor made the announcement via a YouTube video, acknowledging his lack of fundraising and campaign traction. He was not featured in the only Democratic debate so far and in his video, stressed how important it would have been to have been involved.
Lessig announced his run less than two months ago on August 9th right here in Claremont at the Earl M. Bourdon Elderly Housing Development.
In his announcement speech and subsequent speeches, he promised campaign finance reform and reworking the way elections are held as well as giving away the position to the Vice President as soon as he was elected.
