Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont held their 4th Annual Health and Wellness Fair at the Hospital this past Saturday. The hospital offered flu shots health screenings and sit to stand tests in the Rehabilitation Department.
They also demonstrated pumpkin surgery using arthroscopic surgery tools, a pumpkin, and candy. There were also 24 community organizations who had booths at the health fair including River Valley Community College, Turning Points Network, Community Dental Care, and many other exhibits for people to visit and learn about what services are available to the community.
The hospital also offered free healthy snacks and raffle prizes even including an iPad Air given away at the end of the fair. Sounds like a great time that was not only tasty and Autumn-themed, but a great educational experience as well.
