The Sunapee Police Benevolent Association announced Friday that it will once again be holding its Halloween Candy Drive to help support the town’s Central Street Halloween festivities.
The Association has done the drive for the past few years, collecting candy donations at the Police Department and Town Hall prior to trick-or-treating. The Association then distributes the candy to residents of Central Street, who generously provide a safe location for local families to enjoy trick-or-treating.
The street is closed to traffic between 5 and 8 p.m. Halloween night, with several households setting up Haunted Houses to enjoy. The street has played host to hundreds of trick-or-treaters that past several years, and the Sunapee Benevolent Association expects this Halloween to be no different.
This year, donations will be accepted until October 28th, and anyone with questions is encouraged to email SunapeePoliceBA@gmail.com.
