CLAREMONT – Friday morning at 11:30, in light of the development of a new stop on the Boston – Montreal rail line here in Claremont, city, state, and railroad officials dedicated a new waiting pavilion.
A crowd braved the morning rain to listen to a group of individuals speak on the project and its positive impact on the town, complete with the Stevens High School band playing some music to celebrate this accomplishment.
A variety of individuals spoke, including Charlene Lovett of the Claremont City Council, Bill Hollister of Amtrak, a representative for Ann Kuster, state representative Ray Gagnon, and others. All mirrored the significance of a project such as this that was done by the community, for the community.
