Cottage Destroyed in Fire Deemed Total Loss in Spofford

SPOFFORD – News out of Spofford New Hampshire where a fire destroyed a cottage Monday night, deeming the home a total loss.

Spofford Fire Chief Mike Fuller tells the Brattleboro Reformer that the home on 2 Lake Drive was unoccupied at the time of the blaze. The call for the fire came in shortly after 7:00 pm Monday night and fire departments from Spofford, Keene, Chesterfield, and Westmoreland all responded. It took about an hour and half to subdue the flames.

Fuller went on to tell the Reformer that there were no occupants in the homes adjacent to the cottage at the time of the blaze.

The name of the cottage owner has not yet been released and the blaze is not suspicious in any way, believing it was an accidental cause.
