Quechee Man Pleads Not Guilty to Felony Sex Trafficking

QUECHEE – A 38-year-old Quechee man pleaded not guilty earlier this week on charges of felony sex trafficking and lewd and lascivious conduct.

According to his accuser, Jonathan Lazarus is said to have forced a woman to make pornographic videos and perform sex acts in front of a live-streaming web camera. Lazarus was arraigned in Windsor Superior Court and has since posted $25,000 cash bail set by judge Kathleen Manley.

Police say Lazarus spent the last three months forcing to the woman to participate in prostitiution and pornography by threatening to sending inappropriate photos to her parents if she didn’t comply.

Police say they were alerted to the situation last Thursday by the accuser’s parents. Lazarus – who has no prior criminal record –  is scheduled to appear back in Windsor Superior Court October 13th for a serious felony scheduling conference.
