Plans for New Building at APD Hits Snag

Plans by Alice Peck Day Memorial Hopsital to create a new multi-speciality outpatient clinic hit a road block earlier this week when the Lebanon Planning Board unanimously decided to delay its vote on the proposed project.

Board members cited several concerns during Monday night’s meeting, including drainage and traffic issues, as well as the hospitals evolving relationship with Dartmouth-Hitchcock.

Alice Peck Day has said it’s aiming to condense many services currently offered, and increase efficiency and convenience through the creation of a new 45,000 square-foot, two-story clinic located some 200-feet to the west of the existing hospital.

The proposed building will cost an estimated $13-million dollars. The Lebanon Planning Board will continue to review APD’s proposal during its next meeting scheduled for October 13 at City Hall.
