The sidewalks in the Brattleboro Vermont are currently being replaced and during Tuesday night’s select board meeting, town manager Peter Elwell stated that the project is moving at a steady pace.
The work is being done on the east side of the Main Street sidewalk and at the board meeting it was noted that businesses will remain open even if the sidewalk is dirt in front of a particular building.
Developments were hindered when a truck smashed into a traffic light controller box and caused the lights to flash instead of their usual cycle.
The Windham County Sheriff’s Department has helped out in assisting pedestrians through work zones. The largest portion of the sidewalk replacement is poised to be competed by October 1st.
