Claremont Artist Wins 2015 Governor’s Arts Awards

In conjunction with the 50-year anniversary of celebrating said arts in the Granite State, the New Hampshire Council on the Arts has announced the winners of the 2015 Governor’s Arts Awards.

There were five winners of various awards but one is from Claremont! Melissa Richmond, who is the Director of the West Claremont Center of Music and the Arts, won the Distinguished Arts Leadership Award. Governor Hassan praises the arts as an enhancer of the quality of life as a driver behind economic growth and bringing people together.

The awards to all winners will be given at a formal celebration on October 21st  in Manchester at the state Institute of Art. The award ceremony is open to the public so you reserve a seat now, as it is limited.
