Area Apple Orchards Bloom Early This Year With Favorable Weather

Apples are in abundance at area farms this year. The trees are full of apples at Beaver Pond Farm in Newport and the King Blossom Farm in Grantham.

The great weather early in the season is perfect for blossoms and the ideal summer growing weather has made for a bumper crop. The hot September weather has ripened up many of the varieties early this year, like MacIntosh, Empire, and Granny Smith.

Beaver Pond Farm sells their apples at the farmstand in Newport and King Blossom in Grantham is open to pick your own.

There are plenty of other farms in our area that grow apples such as Edgewater Farm in Plainfield, Alyson’s Orchard in Walpole, and Green Mountain Orchard in Putney.

A great fall activity to get out there on the weekends and pick some delicious crisp apples.
