If you’re a fan of bacon – which I’m sure just about everyone out there is – than this story’s for you. The 2nd annual Brattleboro Baconfest is set to kickoff at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Guilford Fairgrounds in Guilford, Vermont, and promises to be even bigger and better than the inaugural event.
This year’s festival will feature more than 30 vendors, offering up bacon-related food, drinks and fun. The day will begin with a 5K or 10K road race – or “Hog Jog” – to begin at 8:30, and also feature an amatuer cooking contest for the best bacon-related recipe. Gates close at 4, with all activities set to wind down around 5 p.m.
The event is sponsored by WKVT and the Brattleboro Area Chamber of Commerce, and more information can be found at wkvt.com.
