Vermont Offers Plan for Workers Laid Off by Keurig
The Keuring brand is an icon in the world of coffee drinkers and earlier this month, Keurig Green Mountain announced its plan to lay off five percent of its North American workforce. In Vermont, that translates to around 200 Vermonters but Governor Peter Shumlin responded with a plan to aid these affected Vermont residents. In conjunction with the Department of Labor, a job fair will be held to help with placement. The governor stated it is a huge hit for Vermont families and the focus should be on families affected by the cuts. The news comes after third quarter results showed a five percent decline in net sales for the company.
Details about the job fair will be made available in the coming weeks. For more information, go to www.http://governor.vermont.gov
