Mount Royal Academy Students Honor and Serve Lunch to Veterans

Even though Veterans Day is officially taking place Wednesday, honoring those who served was already taking place Tuesday. Each year, Mount Royal Academy in Sunapee provides a full hot lunch to area Veterans, served by students, and this year was no different. Entertainment was provided by some of the younger grades reciting poems and singing songs. We heard from two Navy veterans who attended today’s event.

Older students assisted in the serving of the lunch and piano performance and each Veteran left with a flag and placemat designed by the students. Over 15 Veterans were served this year at Mount Royal Academy.
